I remember my older sister getting a copy of this record and playing it over and over on Father’s Day. Paul Petersen played Donna Reed’s son on the TV’s “The Donna Reed Show.” I don’t know if my Dad ever understood a single word of the song, but I like to think that he did. Either way, it’s a beautiful sentimental song for all worthy fathers!
