Today’s selection is by the very talented and tight outfit known as Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio.
From their “Singin” album, “The Get Up and Go” is a sad slice of Bourbon Street blues.
The father has a family, but he shirks his responsibilities because he likes to leave and disappear for a while.
The mother keeps taking him back because she doesn’t like to be alone.
It’s a very compelling song, highlighted by Davy Sturtevant’s superb cornet!
