The Most Awesomest Song of the Day: “Make Room” by Sarah Morris!!!

Something happens to me every year about this time:

Just when I think I can’t face another year of the same awful Christmas songs on repeat starting in October, I’ll run across a new original song that makes me feel like I can make it through the gauntlet of holidays and commitments!

I always bond with the song, and it’s often the way that I personally differentiate most Christmases from one year to the next.

This year, that special song is “Make Room” by Philby Award winner Singer/Songwriter Sarah Morris!

Focusing on the consumer concept that more is better, most of us go out and purchase even more material items to give away, when we might not need them.

Sarah suggests that what we should be making “more room” for, is “joy and laughter!”

To use her descriptive, colorful lyrics:

“…make room for memories we’ll enjoy long after!

The ornaments are put away/

the new years resolutions fade/

to February dreams of summer glow/

let’s make room for a little more love

to grow!”

Singer/Songwriter Matthew French, who also co-wrote “Make Room,” provides harmony vocals to accompany Sarah’s cherubic singing flights!
