I get to start June off by sitting in on “Light From the Underground,” from 10AM-1PM EDT with Phil Maq!

Over time, my listening habits have changed and at the moment I usually listen to albums completely through. I haven’t done that in years, but it’s actually very rewarding—particularly when the album is good. Every album that will be on this list will fit that category.

Songs from the albums on this list forms the basis of my countdown list for the “Top 9 at 2:09” segment of my “Theme Attic Show,” Wednesdays 12PM-4PM ET on mostly alternating weeks, along with my “Phil’s Faves, Songs” lists!

The 2nd 2024 Spring New Music Showcase 12PM-4PM EDT on Wednesday’s “Theme Attic!!!”

What should one do when one’s computer dies and ruins months of show prep?
Why, of course, do the Second 2024 Spring New Music Showcase!
That’s what’s on tap for Wednesday’s “Theme Attic” with host Phil Maq from 12PM-4PM EDT!!!
Adjustments needed to be made.
For example, there will be a plethora of singles on today’s show!
Why, you ask?
Well, one of my personal goals is to listen to at least one new single per day.
I never run out of them!
So, that is what I am most prepared for.
I’ve always considered doing an all new singles show…and then I come to my senses.
This show may be as close as I ever get to that.
At the moment, there are 17 on the playlist!
There are 13 artists with Southeast Michigan ties!
25 artist debuts!
2-3 world premieres!
Another round of Random Record Roulette!
And a Top 9 at 2:09 of this week’s Fave Albums!
Take that computer! (But don’t say that out loud because the one I’m using might hear and wreak more havoc on me!)

I will divide the tags into sections, but they will only be an estimate.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Philby show, so…let’s do one!
A Philby is my online award for “brilliant musical achievement!”
