Singer/songwriter and superb guitarist Jan King has been making a lot of great music for a long time in various bands! Rising from the ashes of The Runaways crash and burn, infamous musical architect Kim Fowley put together a new band that included bassist Laurie McAllister from the old band. The new band called The Orchids included a young Jan king who is featured on vocals in this rough copy of their song, “Blame It All on the Night”:
The next major project for Jan was another all female band Puss ‘N Boots. Jan shows off her guitar riffs on this live version of “The Want!”:
Jan’s most recent projects feature her new band Medicine Ball. Featuring Tami Peden on drums and Keith Wakefield on bass, they tear it up on a very tight live version of “All Souls!”:
