It doesn’t take a genius to observe that there is a lot that is going wrong—not only in the United States, but in the world. So, how can someone make others aware of the situation and what to do to remedy things?
If you’re a musician, you might just turn to the tools of your trade and make some music about it. That is exactly what the artists collected on the “Michigan Music Resistance” have done. David Roof, multi-instrumentalist, Record Producer, and owner of Rooftop Recording is donating his time, and money to record artists and new songs that try to tackle this current political situation.
David, as well as Judy Banker, and Bobby Pennock, all well established musicians in their own right, will be visiting with me in the WHFR studios for my Monday night version of “Prime Time Theme Attic,” from 8PM-10PM EDT!!!
We will be playing songs from the album including a world premiere from John Dow Williams, owner of “Johnny’s Speakeasy” in Ann Arbor! In between tunes, we will be discussing the impact resistance music can have on everyday people as well as a historical look at music for movements.
Join us on Monday night for this thought provoking show!
