Well, I may not get my dream of having a digital campfire singalong this year, so I’m throwing the doors open to anyone who would like to be a guest on my special Earth Day Monday night “Prime Time Theme Attic” from 8PM-10PM EDT!!!
I will be playing music with themes about nature and the earth, but if you have a strong feeling yourself about the planet, I have a seat for you in my digital car. You don’t have to even be a musician. Just someone who wants to talk about nature and music.
That’s it.
There isn’t a pledge drive this week.
Anyway, here is my original post for you to read. Either way, I will be there!:
I don’t know if this is a good idea or not, but I guess I’ll find out.
Every year, I do an Earth Day show to celebrate the wonder of Mother Earth.
Typically, I spend the day doing a remote from magnificent Mt. Dearborn, and visit Angel Falls as well as some of the open meadows on the road towards the summit.
Well, this year Earth Day falls on a Monday.
Monday April 22 to be exact.
I am trying to find out if any one would like to lead a sing-a-long on next Monday’s “Prime Time Theme Attic.”
I need at least someone with a guitar who knows a few sing-a-long songs and maybe make some digital smores around a digital campfire at one of the several campgrounds in Mt. Dearborn Park. I intend to play some recorded music for Earth Day, but that is open to discussion.
I am looking for other singers, and you don’t have to be professional. If you do this on your own front porch or in your own backyard, you might be who I want.
But I also need others to sing along.
I don’t know if this will work, but I guess the responses will let me know.
If you have questions, please e-mail me.

Over time, my listening habits have changed and at the moment I usually listen to albums completely through. I haven’t done that in years, but it’s actually very rewarding—particularly when the album is good. Every album that will be on this list will fit that category.
Songs from the albums on this list forms the basis of my countdown list for the “Top 9 at 9:09” segment of my “Prime Time Theme Attic Show,” (Mondays, 8P-10P ET) on alternating weeks, along with my “Phil’s Faves, Songs” lists!
They may also turn up on my “Theme Attic Show,” (Wednesdays, 10A-12N ET)

It’s another peak into my listening habits—which is a goal of mine. If you want to know where I’m heading or what I think about some new music, you will find it here.
I honestly don’t expect there to be much volatility on this list because these albums are what I have been basing many of the sets on my show.
Once again, there will be no boundaries. I will go wherever my musical muse takes me.

So, every now and then, someone posts a WKNR Record Guide.
Sally O’Mally Schroeder recently posted one for April 2, 1964. I had too many other shows planned at that time, but I always find these lists intriguing for what I don’t know or have forgotten. On Wednesday morning’s “Theme Attic” with Phil Maq from 10AM-2PM EDT, I have decided to add a song or two by other artists because I always like to play something newer. I have added a song by The Show Ponies just to make myself crazier to try to fit it all in.
Come on along for the ride to relive some classic tunes or to see if I fit them all in.
