Los Lobos, Real Estate, and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Bands Provide the Heat on This Whiplash Autumn Day!!!

I saw Los Lobos [Hall of Fame] on Austin City Limits last weekend and I can’t get “Chuco’s Cumbia” out of my head! The band does a fundraiser for The Ark in Ann Arbor in a couple of weeks, too. It’s cold outside with early winter like temperatures, so why not heat things up with this muy caliente song! This is not an official video for it, but I feel it captures the spirit!:

The band Real Estate put out one of the best albums of the year with “Atlas!” It’s full of melodic melodies, cascading harmonies, jangly guitars, and hooks, and hooks, and hooks…………………… It’s been on my mp3 player since it came out! Let the warmth of the music enfold you in these freezing weather conditions. Here’s their video for “Talking Backwards”:

Bruce Springsteen [Hall of Fame] started writing legendary songs right from the start! 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) was one of the first ones that caught my attention. It was one of the greatest songs ever recorded [GSER] every time he does it! It’s so ironic that the boardwalk that he described was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy!!! Here’s a clip of Bruce and The E Street Band remembering warm summer days from their 1975 Hammersmith Odeon concert!:
