Road Trippin’ Again on Theme Attic, Wednesday Morning 10AM-12PM EDT!!!

At least once a year, I like to use my “Theme Attic” show, Wednesday mornings from 10AM-12PM EDT with Phil Maq, to play music associated with vacations I’ve taken or places I’ve visited.

I started out making cassette mix tapes, moved on to CDs, and now take what amounts to hundreds of albums of music. It is difficult, after a lifetime of doing this, to separate emotions felt at a beautiful location from the emotions felt from listening to a song.

So many memories!

So many road trips!

So much music!

Fifty years ago, when I was a wee lad, most of my family went on an incredibly long trip. My mother chose to stay home. But the rest of us–my dad, a brother, and a sister went on a sojourn that went down to Houston, over to Mobile, Alabama, and then up the east coast to Connecticut.

The car of choice was a 1967 Chevy Caprice. No air conditioning!

I intend to spend some time recalling some of that trip, as well as others, with the music that I play.

Songs by artists on the show will include RB Stone, Poco, The Hackwells, The Donkeys, Morgan Treni & The Landscapes with Angela Perley & The Howlin’ Moons, Eric Bannan’s Music Page, ELVIS PRESLEY, Nick Waterhouse, Stonewall Jackson, Eagles, I Don’t Trust Robots, The Beatles, Sarah McQuaid, Nanci Griffith with Emmylou Harris, The Euclids, Merle Haggard, John Denver, The Monkees, and more!!!

Come on along for the ride and tune in to 89.3 FM (89.3 WHFR.FM) in the Dearborn-Detroit area, stream it anywhere in the world with this special overheated car link : https://whfr.fm/streamer/ (Press the “Listen Live Now” button), or use Tune In Player to stream it.

Please share freely with your fans, friends, and families, but say something about yourself in the comments section when you repost it, so that everyone knows why you’re posting it!
