Every year, I always played some songs on my show for Cinco de Mayo!
The music doesn’t have to have anything to do with the Anniversary. It’s just that I have always liked music with a Mexican or Hispanic flavor!
Today’s choice is a song by Vegas Strip Kings from their “Jackpot” album released last year.
It tells the story about a hard working migrant farm worker, who had a crucifix on his dashboard to help keep him safe!

How about a bonus song by a band that I refer to as Mexicos’ Beatles!
I’m talking about Los Texas Tornados otherwise known as Freddie Fender, Flaco Jimenez, Augie Meyers, and Doug Sahm!
They put out a zippy little tune on their “Hangin’ By a Thread” album!
