About thirty years ago, legendary Blues band, Little Charlie and The Nightcats, released a classic album entitled, “The Big Break.”
A little short history first:
Little Charlie was led by guitar great Charlie Baty.
The live band was fronted by dynamic harp player, Rick Estrin!
Charlie has since sadly passed on, but the legendary banner has been inherited by Rick Estrin and The Nightcats!
Rick is a one-of-a-kind, sharpest dressing, wise cracking intense performer in a Peter Wolf vein!
And he definitely knows how to turn a phrase!
“Dump That Chump,” from “The Big Break,” is a track about a guy advising a woman in a bad relationship to end it.
Rick has updated the song with words to give the right amount of brashness for today’s election!
For the record, I was singing this with my own words, sometimes out loud, to myself before the 2016 election.
I’m so glad Rick updated his song!
The video includes a large cast of special guests!
