Oh my goodness!
There’s going to be another 2021 Spring New Music Showcase on Wednesday’s “Theme Attic” with Phil Maq from 2PM-4PM!
This one will be Part 3 and it will be slightly different than my other ones: I’m going to feature only local music until the Top 9 at 3:09! Also, I usually do only my weekly Fave Albums Countdown, but I’m going to switch this week and do a Fave Songs Countdown.
I’m going to call it my Radiothon edition!
And speaking of Radiothon–WHFR’s annual weeklong fundraising event, I hope that if anyone is a listener that could contribute something will consider doing so!
Songs by local artists on the show will include Keith Laurin (Detroit Strong Music), Mark Jewett Music, a classic tune from Robert Penn Blues Band (The song will be from the WHFR exclusive release, “Uncut Detroit III: Live Studio Blues!” The album cover is in the lower left corner of the banner!), Bobby Pennock, Tom Alter, Lauren Crane (Her album cover for “Makin’ Honey” is in the upper left corner of the banner!), Wolf B. Reuter, Jill Jack (a brand new song!), A not yet released song from a not yet released project by a band with Detroit connections-The Forty Nineteens (Their album cover for “New Roaring Twenties” is in the upper right corner of the banner!), Jeff Scott Music, JC & The Disciples, Ed Dupas, Mike Latini Music, Judy Banker, Strawberry Heritage, and Mental Health Day!!!
Songs by other artists should include Sugar Snow, The Fratellis, Arnold Mitchem Band, Victor V. Gurbo & Co., (A special plaque for WHFR to demonstrate that the station’s influence goes far and wide and is respected and appreciated, is in the lower right corner of the banner!), Cindy Ruenes Music, Karyn Oliver, Jordi, and possibly more!!!
