So, it appears another New Music Showcase has shown up on my calendar.
That is…another four hour Showcase.
Certainly it must be easier now that I have a couple of these under my belt?
Eh…no…er…maybe?
What I mean is that, yes, I have developed a process to put together a show where I feature mostly new releases and a few that I have overlooked.
I could even make it easier and just grab approximately 48 song files by artists I haven’t played before.
Sure, that’s might be what someone else might do. But that’s not what I do.
My requirement, my standard if you will, is that every song has to be worth playing!
I’m not just filling a time slot.
It’s way more than that for me.
Therefore, I have planned a splendiferous and genre scraping 2022 Spring New Music Showcase #3 with Host Phil Maq on Wednesday from 12PM-4PM EDT!!!
A Top 9 at 2:09 Album Countdown will temporarily change things up yet still adhere to this week’s theme of music never before played on the show!
The stats are bigger than ever once again! I’m not sure they can get any larger: 31 artist debuts, 32 new and/or newer releases, 8 artists with Southeast Michigan ties!!!
That’s pretty impressive if I say so myself!
I will divide the tags into 2 two hour sections, but they will only be an estimate. I can’t guarantee that everything will fit into those slots, but I will try very hard to stick to them!
