2023 Summer New Music Showcase #1 on Wednesday’s “Theme Attic,” 12PM-4PM EDT!!!

I’m in several Facebook groups that are music oriented.
Occasionally, there is a post to welcome new members.
Today’s 2023 Summer New Music Showcase #1 on Wednesday’s “Theme Attic” with Phil Maq from 12PM-4PM EDT is just that kind of show!
I typically bury this info later in the post, but I decided to follow the pattern that the Facebook groups do and put it right up front:
30 artist debuts, 32 new releases, 3 unreleased, 2 world premieres, 13 artists with Southeast Michigan ties, and 8 singles!!!
Welcome to the “club!”
And it is an eclectic batch of mostly new music!
Of course, as per tradition, everything else I play on the show I’ve never played before, thus making it “new,” too!
There will be a Top 9 at 2:09 EDT album countdown to add to the mix! (And a batch I refer to as “Older Music Rescue,” which is a group of songs and artists that I have “overlooked” for various reasons!)
I will divide the tags into sections, but they will only be an estimate.
I can’t guarantee that everything will fit into those slots, but I will try very hard to stick to them!
However…they are NOT in chronological order. (I often make changes during the show!)
Songs by artists between 12PM-209 PM EDT should include A Beacon School, Jess Williamson, Now Ghosts, Quantic Music with Andreya Triana, SUPER 8 Music (Their new album cover for “Hoopla” is on the top, second from the right in the banner!), Phony Ppl, Orions Belte, Innerlove., Abby K (Her album cover for “Where We’re At” is on the bottom, second from the right in the banner!),(Abby Karp) Dean Ford, John and Sheila Ludgate, Oberon Rose, Lanterns On The Lake, Billy The Kid & The Regulators, James and the Giants, B. B. & The Blues Shacks, . Byrd, AeB, Creep Show and John Grant (John Grant), Texas, and more!!!
Songs by artists between 2:09PM-4PM EDT should include Tom Curless & the 46% (Their new album “Speaking in Codes” is on the far right of the banner!), Voxanna (Elaine Schoendorf), Annie & Rod Capps (Their new album, “Love and Rain” is on the far left of the banner!), Bill Edwards, After Blue (Kate Hinote & the Disasters, Anthony Retka, and After Blue are playing Berkley Coffee & Oak Park Drive in Oak Park, Michigan this Friday!), Jc & The Disciples, Carolyn Striho and Erin Zindle (Their cover for “The Bridge” is third from the left in the banner!), Tom Curless, The Wildwoods (Chloe Pinkman Gose), Nick Z’s Boss Super Summer (Nick Zeigler), Mike Ward, Barker & Broski, Ilene Springer, Arthur Alexander (His album cover for “Steppin’ Out” is in the middle of the banner!)(Big Stir Records), Al Staehely (His album cover for “Somewhere in West Texas” is second from the left in the banner!) Phil Lee, Last Giant, Jennifer Cutting‘s Ocean Orchestra, and more!!!
So bring along some paper and a writing implement to jot down notes, get a friend to listen with, and come along for Wednesday’s “Theme Attic” from 12PM-4PM EDT with Phil Maq!!!
