Of Peace and Pirates (But Mostly Peace), and Farewell Summer, Wednesday September 20, 12PM-4PM EDT!!!

September 20th is centrally located between Talk Like a Pirate Day and International Day of Peace.

Therefore, Wednesday’s “Theme Attic” with Host Phil Maq from 12PM-4PM EDT, will feature music about both subjects!
However, since the Pirate Day was yesterday, it doesn’t quite have the energy that it should, so I will only feature a handful of songs.
On the other hand, it seems a daunting task to think that a show about Peace can have an effect…on anybody.
Yet, against seemingly impossible odds, musicians continue to make songs about it.
Because, almost anybody with a “heart” or family or friends want to live without fear.
So, I will continue to do what may be my special talent and play songs that pretty much promote feelings of peace!
And some of the songs are some of the greatest ever recorded!
A Top 9 at 2:09 Countdown will change things up!
And stats are pretty good: 14 artist debuts, 8 new releases, 2 unreleased, 1 world premiere, 10 artists with Southeast Michigan ties, and 6 singles!
I will divide the tags into sections, but they will only be an estimate.
I can’t guarantee that everything will fit into those slots, but I will try very hard to stick to them!
However…they are NOT in chronological order. (I often make changes during the show!)
Songs by artists between 12PM-209 PM EDT should include Susie Tallman & Friends (Her brand new “Let’s All Sing!” album is in the banner!)(Susie Tallman Yarbrough), The Gaulway Ramblers, Feature Records with Locksley and Dearly, Eileen Kozloff (Her artwork for “No More War Anymore” is in the banner!)(Eileen Kozloff-Singer/Songwriter), Spook Handy, Ye Banished Privateers, Elements of Friendship, James Kahn (James Kahn), The Sugar Clouds (Their “Merry Isthmus” album cover is in the banner!), David Deacon, Ellen Bukstel (Ellen Bukstel), Jah Sun (His album cover, “Running Through Walls,” is in the banner!), Gathering Sparks, Joy Zimmerman(Her album cover for “Where the Light Lives” is in the banner!), Linda Marks, Jo Philby, Longboat, Gregory Ackerman, and more!!!
Songs from 2:09 PM-4PM EDT should include Signal Flags (John Giaccone), The Claudettes (Johnny Iguana), Windborne, Kenny Young and the Eggplants (Kenny Young), Dave Caruso, The Volebeats Detroit, Sarah Morris (Sarah Morris), Ian McFeron, Billy Brandt, Matthew French (Matthew French), The Invasion (David Roof), Joe Peters & Friends, Michael on Fire, Foundry Town Survivors (Both Michael on Fire and Foundry Town Survivors are playing Wednesday night (Tonight!) at Necto in Ann Arbor, Michigan tonight!)(Ron Colone), Hans Rees and Brittany Rees, Beowulf Kingsley (Todd Perkins), Sarah McQuaid (Sarah is playing Trinity House Theatre in Livonia, Michigan this Friday!) and many more!!!
So, grab something to take notes and negotiate with, get a friend to listen with, and come along for Wednesday’s “Theme Attic” from 12PM-4PM EDT with Phil Maq!!!
