When it comes to picking music for my shows when new artists are involved, is that I want to select an album and not just a song. Each are important in their own way, but I like to bond with musicians over a complete work, and not just a small slice.
I think that not only is it better for myself and the artists, but the listeners, too, who, over time get familiar by linking the musicians and their music on a somewhat regular basis.
So, here comes the second batch of GREAT music as the Philby 100 Best Albums of 2017 Countdown, Pt.2 continues on Wednesday’s “Theme Attic” with Phil Maq from 10A-12Noon ET!!!
Songs by artists on the show will include Billy Brandt Music, The Wag, Audra Kubat, Escaping Pavement, Ray Vaughn, Sumilan (album picture above second from right), The Static Dial (album pictured above left), Victoria Reed, Jive Colossus, SIMO, Jennifer Cutting’s Ocean Orchestra (album pictured above, far right), The Donkeys, May Erlewine, John Latini and the Flying Latini Brothers (album pictured above in the middle), David Roof (album pictured above, second from left) Animal Hours, Red City Radio, Drew Davis, The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats, and more!!!
